Raven
Angus was originated in 1955 by Ray & Betty Petersek when they purchased
10 registered Angus cows from Robert Lynch & Sons of Maloy, Iowa.
They started out south of St. Charles, SD and in 1961 they bought land
east of Colome, SD, where Raven Angus now calls home.
Raven Angus is currently owned and operated by Rod and wife Leslie, and sons, RJ and wife Sara and Reed and wife Erin. Now the ranch consists of 400 registered Angus cows. The annual production sale is
held on the last Thursday in February. Please feel free to stop at the
ranch and view the cattle anytime. |
